DYNAJET helps restore Notre-Dame

DYNAJET high-pressure cleaners are even effective in restoration work after large fires. Hot water removes the soot layers and gently cleans the substrate without using chemicals. Sustainable restoration needs an intact and clean substrate. This is why the restoration work in Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris is using a DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner to repair the fire damage.

The fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris on 15-16 April 2019 caused dramatic damage. Not only were parts of the cathedral destroyed, but much of the surrounding area was also significantly damaged by soot and fire debris.
This soot layer is particularly dangerous, as it takes only a short time for it to attack and destroy many substrates. DYNAJET partner RDV France provided a DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner to gently and quickly remove the soot layer on Notre-Dame’s forecourt.

The DYNAJET 500th Trailer and the DFS surface cleaning system removes soot from the floor quickly and almost completely at a working pressure of up to 500 bar. The hot water that the system uses is vital here, as cold water cannot completely remove stubborn soot. A special vacuum cleaner then extracts the cleaning water.
