Tunnel construction with DYNAJET in Copenhagen
News
During construction of the Nordhavnsvej Tunnel in Copenhagen, Ed. Züblin AG is relying on DYNAJET’s tried-and-tested technology for surface preparation.
Copenhagen/Denmark. It’s currently the biggest large-scale infrastructure project in Denmark: the Nordhavnsvej Tunnel, which will connect the new district of Nordhavnsvej to the Helsingør motorway. The four-lane tunnel runs below the Danish capital for a distance of 1.65 km, with a diameter of two times 14 m. The tunnel is being built in a joint venture with the renowned civil engineering company Ed. Züblin AG, which is trusting in DYNAJET’s efficiency and strength for surface preparation of the walls.
The mobile and all-purpose cold- and hot-water DYNAJET 500th high-pressure cleaner, with a working pressure of up to 500 bar (7,250 PSI), is being deployed in both tunnel tubes. With the aid of the water pressure – which can be steplessly regulated – the tunnel walls are freed of concrete residue and splatters, as well as other types of dirt, quickly, safely and reliably. The final concrete can then be applied to the perfectly prepared walls without problem.
DYNAJET can once again demonstrate its power and efficiency on one of the most important large-scale construction sites. Owing to their enormous economy and reliability, DYNAJET’s professional water-jetting systems have featured among the permanent machinery on the world’s large construction sites, the most recent being the Ground Zero site and renovation of the Brenner motorway.
