Work safely with the right high-pressure gun length
Expert knowledge high-pressure safety
The total length of a gun when working with the pressure washer, including lance and nozzle, must never be less than 75 cm. This is for safety reasons. A shorter gun drastically increases the risk of accident or injury, as the shorter the gun length, the greater the risk of your body or limbs getting into the high-pressure water jet danger zone.
Health and safety rules when working with high-pressure guns
Do not place hands or other body parts in front of the pressurized nozzle or in the jet when operating spraying equipment. It is particularly dangerous to touch the water jet. It can cause skin abrasions, cuts or even partial amputation. High-pressure water jet injuries could result in a visit to Accident & Emergency, and possibly even surgical treatment.
Take care to make sure the gun length is sufficient, especially when cleaning sewers; the confined spaces worked in here greatly increase the risk of accidents.
