Remove snow and ice completely using the high-pressure cleaner
Expert knowledge high-pressure expertise
DYNAJET’s hot water high-pressure cleaners stop snow and ice from hampering your work. Simply use your DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner to deal with snow and ice on any of your stored material. They can also reach inaccessible places – such as between iron reinforcements – and create a clean substrate.
Use DYNAJET high-pressure cleaners in winter
It is best to preheat the water to approx. 40°C on the way to the use location when using your DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner as a de-icer and snow remover; this will protect the high-pressure cleaner itself against frost. Then, use the hot water to remove snow and ice, taking care to avoid creating puddles. The high temperatures evaporate the residual water and free the substrate of residue, so you can to complete your concreting, painting or similar job.
Don’t let snow and ice interrupt concreting work
Snow and ice on precast concrete elements, formwork surfaces and reinforcements prevent the concrete from properly bonding to the substrate during concreting work. Winter snow and ice must be completely removed to complete work in these weather conditions. Remember as well: the lower the fresh concrete’s temperature, the longer it will take to harden. In addition, ice can loosen or crack the concrete structure. When you cannot afford to pause concreting work because of cold weather, the fresh concrete must not be colder than +5°C when poured.
Our hot water high-pressure cleaners can help you here. You can either inject hot water (up to 60°C) directly into the compulsory mixer, or mix even hotter water (>60°C) with the aggregate before adding the cement. Protective drying measures must be prepared in advance and remain in place for as long as needed for the drying process. This depends on the weather conditions, type and dimensions of the components and the formwork.
Heat-insulating covers (thermofoils, boarding, dry straw and reed mats, lightweight boards or plastic mats) may be sufficient in short periods of frost. When the frost is more severe or during protracted periods of frost, the layer of air surrounding the fresh concrete must be heated (using infrared lamps or dry air). Be careful not to dry out the concrete surface.
