Protect your high-pressure cleaner from frost in winter
Expert knowledge high-pressure expertise
You must protect your DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner from temperatures below 0°C. It must be filled with antifreeze if you are not able to park it indoors. We recommend a monoethylene glycol-based antifreeze as this does not attack the sealing material and protects against limescale deposits.
Anti-freeze tips
- At temperatures below 0°C:
- either store the high-pressure cleaner in a frost-proof room
- or use antifreeze
- Fill up your DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner with a suitable antifreeze to protect it.
- Collect antifreeze in the container to reuse it (please check the concentration beforehand) or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
Use antifreeze during the warmer seasons too
If your high-pressure cleaner will be on standby for more than about 2 to 3 days, antifreeze is beneficial even if there is no prospect of freezing. This protects against iron or lime deposits and maintains the seals in the system. So, investing in frost protection offers a high level of protection and saves on costs in the longer term.
Corrosion and frost protection for DYNAJET UHP 220
The higher the working pressure, the more sensitive the components and the sealing systems become. Water quality as well as protection against frost and corrosion is therefore very important. DYNAJET UHP models need no external containers or hoses, making defrosting simple and convenient. The operating instructions will tell you exactly how to do this.
