Optimum jet distance when working with the high-pressure cleaner
Expert knowledge high-pressure expertise
You get best results from your high-pressure cleaner when you work at the optimum jet distance. The jet distance depends on various factors: type of surface, maximum pressure of the DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner used, type of nozzle and, if used, also the type of abrasive used.
This is how you determine the optimum jet distance:
If the high-pressure cleaner is used too close to the object to be treated, the short distance only allows a smaller area to be treated. In addition, sensitive surfaces or even the substrate can be damaged if the distance is too short and the impact speed too high. Conversely, too wide a spacing leads to a less effective result.
Our expert tip for the fastest and most economical way to work:
- Operate your DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner at maximum power.
- Approach the surface to be cleaned or processed slowly from a distance.
- As soon as you see the desired cleaning or removal effect, keep this distance constant.
- If a greater distance cannot be selected due to an obstacle such as a façade scaffold, it is best to work at an angle to the surface.
- If the surface roughness pronounced, it may be useful to work from the left and from the right in order to achieve an optimum result.
