Fixing pressure loss in your high-pressure cleaner
Expert knowledge high-pressure expertise
There are many possible reasons why a pressure cleaner is no longer building up enough pressure. In most cases, a brief check-up will quickly identify and fix the fault.
Troubleshoot reasons for pressure loss in my DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner
First of all, check general causes such as:
- Is there enough water coming from the water supply?
- Is there enough water in the tank?
- Are there any leaks on the machine or accessories?
If none of these apply, check the nozzle next: it may be worn or eroded. Either inspect it with the naked eye or check it with a nozzle gauge. If necessary, replace the nozzle. You can find the correct nozzle size on the machine sticker itself, in the operating manual or in the DYNAJET nozzle table (see download below).
If this does not correct the pressure loss, the next step is to check the complete high-pressure set, i.e. the high-pressure gun, jet pipe and lance. These may also be faulty or leaking. Run the unit with a new high-pressure set and check if this solves the problem.
If the pressure loss still persists, check the unloader valve: is it set to the correct pressure? Are the high-pressure hoses and their screw connections as well as the safety valve correctly installed? Is water leaking from any of these parts? Is the high-pressure hose too long or too thick?
If none of these solves the problem, please contact your DYNAJET service partner to get the device checked.
