10 tips to protect your high-pressure hose from excessive wear and tear
- Make sure that no kinks are formed during operation.
- Never pull on the hose.
- Do not bend the hose and do not drag it over sharp edges.
- Do not drive over the hose with machines or vehicles.
- Open and close the gun as little as possible. Every change in load counts.
- Avoid ambient temperatures below -10°C and above 70°C.
- Do not expose the hose to substances such as chemicals, solvents, or detergents that could damage it.
- Stay within permitted operating limits and differentiate between permissible operating pressure and test pressure.
- Never use force to tighten hose fittings.
- Protect loose hose assemblies on roadways and walkways to prevent abrasion, crushing or other damage.
Storage of high-pressure hoses
Ensure hoses are stored in a cool, dry and dust-free location. Avoid direct sunlight and/or UV radiation and make sure that hoses do not come into contact with substances that can cause damage.
Seal the hose ends with protective caps during storage to protect the inside of the hose as well from dirt and corrosion. Always store the hoses free of kinks, with little tension and lying down.
