Extend service life of high-pressure rotor nozzles
Expert knowledge high-pressure expertise
Rotor nozzles – also known as grime cutters – combine the benefits of the spot nozzle and the flat spray nozzle. The high-impact spot-jet nozzle removes stubborn dirt, while the rotation covers the wider area of a flat-jet nozzle. Single-jet rotor nozzles will last longer if you always start up with the nozzle head pointing downwards. This protects the nozzle from damage and premature wear.
Protecting self-propelling rotor nozzles
A pin in the nozzle head creates the rotation in a single-jet, self-propelling rotor nozzle using the flow of water. The pin directs this flow of water through the conically-shaped nozzle head to flow out in an circular motion. This pin needs some clearance for the circular movement. If the machine starts with the nozzle pointing upwards, the full force of the water flings the pin against the nozzle seat. This damages both the rotor and nozzle seat. When it is started pointing upwards, the pin is in the right place and the water can flow through.
