DYNAJET has developed a number of versatile nozzles such as the standard 15° flat-jet nozzle. Requirements of our various applications can vary. For example, the same nozzle cannot be used for simple cleaning work and concrete removal due to the enormous difference in working pressure. Dynajet has a range of nozzles to suit all conditions.

The DYNAJET nozzle ABC: Spot-jet nozzle – Flat-jet nozzle – Rotating nozzle

There are two main types of nozzles:

  • Fixed nozzles and moving/rotating nozzles.

Fixed nozzles include the spot-jet nozzle and the flat-jet nozzle.

Spot-jet nozzles

Spot-jet nozzles are best suited for cutting, spraying out small moulds and repairing concrete. Rotating nozzles are a type of spot-jet nozzle with a rotating jet covering a wider area. Rotating nozzles have a simple rotor in the head moved by water force; the entire nozzle head rotates at higher pressures.
A spot-jet nozzle produces a round jet of water creating a small impacting jet.
Spot-jet nozzles, sometimes referred to as round-jet nozzles, are used in the ultra-high-pressure range. These wear out less at this pressure level.

Flat-jet nozzles

The flat-jet nozzle is suitable for cleaning larger areas. It is also more effective on rougher surfaces than a spot-jet nozzle. The choice of nozzle shape depends firstly on whether you are using your DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner to wash, cut, refurbish, remove or clean surfaces; and secondly, the material you want to work on.

Whichever nozzle you use, however, you always need to judge the distance correctly.

Nozzle jet angle and working pressure

As well as the nozzle shape, both the ideal jet angle – 5/15/30 degrees – and working pressure required are important.

  • The higher the jet angle and the lower the working pressure, the softer the jet.
  • The smaller the jet angle and the higher the working pressure, the stronger the jet.

When selecting nozzles, pay attention to the recoil force and protective measures you need.
