Automatic shutdown of the high-pressure cleaner caused by lack of water
Expert knowledge high-pressure expertise
Your device automatically cuts out when there is insufficient water. This is to protect your DYNAJET pressure washer’s pump. We give you some tips here on how to avoid a shortage of water for your pressure washer.
Protect DYNAJET high-pressure cleaners from water shortage
Two water pressure sensors are installed to protect your DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner pump. Threshold values are set for these two sensors – one for the upstream pressure, one for the supply – which must not be undershot.
The machine will only start if there is more than 1.8 bar of water pressure. Water pressure must not fall below 0.8 bar during operation.
What to do if the DYNAJET high-pressure cleaner is connected to the water supply, but switches off after running for only a few seconds?
If the water pressure is insufficient, we recommend the following solutions:
- Use a shorter supply hose – hoses cause pressure loss; the longer the hose, the more pressure loss
- Use a supply hose with a larger diameter – the smaller the cross-section of the line, the larger the area that slows down the flow due to friction in relation to the diameter.
- Clean the inlet filter
- Avoid manifolds
- Use an additional supply pump
- Check whether other consumers connected to the same water network are causing pressure fluctuations
